Wednesday 26th October 2016 - Brimham Rocks, Yorkshire

It was lovely looking out over Harrogate in the morning - including a rainbow!

We went to Wetherspoons for breakfast, which was in a really gorgeous building on two levels. We sat in the upper level which you reached up a lovely elegant divided staircase. Most of us had massive fry-ups.

We didn't have a plan for the day, and so the kids suggested going to Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire, where we'd been before with John.
It's an area with loads of crazy rock formations caused by Millstone Grit being eroded by water, glaciation and wind.
We just wandered round the site, clambering over everything.

John told us to keep an eye for the 'Smartie Tube'! The kids were brave enough to wriggle through it!

Scott and one of the kids in either end of the Smartie tube!

The kids under 'Idol Rock'. Urghhh!!!

Scott and I made our way back to the car with no kids anywhere in sight. They all made it though, and everyone was in a very daft mood!

Driving back home... what a brilliant couple of days!!
